Environmental Targets
We recognise that climate change is one of the greatest global challenges of modern times. In addition to the changes we are all able to make to our domestic behaviours, we believe that business has a key role to play in meeting national targets for reductions in carbon emissions.
At FCF we have defined our own Carbon Neutral targets as part of our five year business plan, and are fully committed to achieving these targets whilst maintaining our competitive pricing and customer service standards: a thriving, profitable and market-leading business needn’t cost the earth.
- We have partnered with Carbon Clear to conduct a standards-compliant carbon audit and to help us set in place strategies to achieve Carbon Neutral status.
- Carbon Clear will also create an Environmental Managed System programme to reduce our impacts and place us favourably in our goals to acquire ISO14001 accreditation.
- Working alongside their partner Groundwork, Carbon Clear will assist FCF in optimising our relationship with key stakeholders and community projects. Groundwork are an environmental regeneration charity working with businesses like ourselves to promote economic and social regeneration in the communities we support.
- Our Business Plan incorporates a scheduled programme of regional openings of Environmentally Managed Units – business premises designed with sustainability as top priority. Click here to read about the launch of our latest EMU in Loughborough.
- Our nationwide team of engineers are strategically located to respond to your needs quickly whilst incurring the minimum number of carbon miles
- We train our engineers across all product disciplines, meaning that multiple products can be installed and maintained with one call-out instead of multiple visits, again keeping vehicle carbon emissions to a minimum
- A programme of purchasing carbon offset credits from high quality projects is in place to help us on our way to becoming Carbon Neutral.
