Fire Risk Assessment

Under the terms of The Fire Precautions (Workplace) Act 1997, all workplaces employing one or more persons are required to carry out a fire risk assessment. (See also our Regulatory section for further details).

The following guide takes you through a series of questions relating to the assessment. To each question you should be able to answer ‘yes’ or ‘not applicable’. Where you have to concede the answer is ‘no’, there are guidance notes to help you rectify any possible deficiencies in your fire prevention arrangements.
